How it works
- You get a code. Short, yours, does not expire. It works in every game you join.
- Viewers redeem it. A player enters it in the game’s code window and is linked to you for 7 days. One code per player and game.
- Purchases are attributed. Developer Products and Game Passes bought by linked players count for your share, live on your dashboard.
- Monthly payout. Roblox keeps 30%, of the rest you get the game’s share (for example 15%). Each game pays you as Robux via its group in the first days of the next month.
What you see on the dashboard
- Your share, gross Robux, purchases, redemptions, conversion and average basket, each with the change to last month, plus a breakdown per game.
- Daily earnings with a 7-day average, cumulative month-over-month, redemptions per day so you can see what a video did.
- Funnel from redemptions to your share, top products, and a heatmap of when your viewers play.
- A live activity feed and a monthly statement with payout status and date.
Questions
How does attribution work?
A viewer enters your code once in the game’s settings. From that moment every Developer Product and Game Pass that player buys is attributed to your code and shown on your dashboard within a minute. The assignment lives in the game’s player data; the portal only receives the events.
How long does a redeemed code count?
A player has one creator code at a time, per game, and it counts for 7 days. While it runs, the player cannot switch to another code. After 7 days the link expires on its own and the player is free to enter a code again, yours or someone else’s.
How is my share calculated?
Roblox keeps 30% of every purchase. Of the net you get the share the game sets (at least 5%). Example at 15%: a 499 Robux product leaves 349 net, of which 52 Robux go to you. Amounts are rounded down per purchase.
What about refunds and chargebacks?
Before each monthly payout we reconcile purchases against Roblox refunds and duplicate receipts. Refunded purchases are voided: they stay visible in your activity feed marked as voided, but they no longer count. If a refund arrives after a payout, it is offset against the next one.
When and how do I get paid?
Once a month. Each game pays finished months in the first days of the following month as Robux through its Roblox group, so you join the group of each game. Each game sets a minimum payout; below it the balance carries over and never expires. If you leave a game, you still get your rest balance. Payout terms in the Creator Agreement.
Who pays taxes?
You do. Robux you receive may be taxable income where you live. We do not withhold anything and do not provide tax advice; keep your monthly statements as records. Section 6 of the Creator Agreement.
What are the rules?
Promote the code only in your own content, no fake redemptions or purchases, no misleading claims, follow the Roblox community standards and label ads where required. Either side can end the agreement at any time. Read the full Creator Agreement.
